Ok, so you're here to know my opinion on webp files? I think the title says it all. It sucks. I hate the entire format of this stupid file type.

it's literally just a png or jpeg. Yes, I know there are probably minute differences, but the amount of times I have been bambozled by this file type when trying to do something like an online project at school is annoying as hell. Picture this, you're working away, getting a project done on something like google slides, and you need an image. You go on over to google, and search up what you need. You scroll through a little, and BAM! perfect image. So you copy that you your clip board (because lets be real, you dont wanna have to download an image you'll only use once) and you go back to google slides. You try to copy and paste it in...

Bam.

You can't use webp on google slides.

This absolutely pisses me off. I literally found the perfect image, but nooooo. It's a fucking webp. So I have to go BACK to google, and once again hunt for a good image that relates to what im doing.

yes, I know that you can achive smaller file sizes with webp files without the image being compressed. But when im trying to just do something as simple as copy and paste an image in, it pisses me off when i discover that i cant do that.

So yeah. That's why i hate webp files.
